THE FRESHGATE TRUST FOUNDATION

What we do not fund

The freshgate trust FOUNDATION will not normally consider applications from

  • Organisations that are not registered charities (except small community groups managed by volunteers with no paid employees).
  • Charities with large reserves.
  • National charities (unless for a capital project based in South Yorkshire with clear evidence of local management and local control of finances).
  • Community Interest Companies and other ‘not for profit’ businesses (unless they are also registered charities).
  • General appeal letters from charities.
  • Individuals.
  • Organisations supporting religious or political views.
  • Animal welfare organisations.
  • Applications for a project or event taking place before the date of the next funding meeting.
  • Organisations applying primarily for salary costs.
  • Projects that do not have sufficient funding to ensure running for at least one year from the date of the grant being applied for.
  • New projects which need to fund salary costs, unless all salary costs for the project are secured for at least 18 months.
