- Organisations that are not registered charities (except small community groups managed by volunteers with no paid employees).
- Charities with large reserves.
- National charities (unless for a capital project based in South Yorkshire with clear evidence of local management and local control of finances).
- Community Interest Companies and other ‘not for profit’ businesses (unless they are also registered charities).
- General appeal letters from charities.
- Individuals.
- Organisations supporting religious or political views.
- Animal welfare organisations.
- Applications for a project or event taking place before the date of the next funding meeting.
- Organisations applying primarily for salary costs.
- Projects that do not have sufficient funding to ensure running for at least one year from the date of the grant being applied for.
- New projects which need to fund salary costs, unless all salary costs for the project are secured for at least 18 months.
